"Fresh Faces 2x2"

I'm happy to have "Rey de la Noche" included in "Fresh Faces 2x2", at the Bath House Cultural Center in Dallas, Tx, curated by artist Rita Barnard. Each piece in the show is 24 inches square. I think there are around fifty or so pieces in the exhibit.
This one is acrylic on canvas and, not surprisingly, 24 by 24 inches.

Crested Butte

Late last year I posted the process of painting this picture, "Crested Butte", as a private commission. I just now have the "official" professional photograph of it, instead of the one made with my camera.
The painting is acrylic on canvas, 30 by 40 inches, and hangs, or will soon, in the clients' home in Crested Butte, Colorado.

Mystery Project - Part Six

Here's the finished painting for this project. Again, it's taken with my point-and-shoot camera, so the quality of photography leaves a lot to be desired. My next step is to get a good record of the piece.
This hasn't cleared with the client yet, so I'm not going to reveal that information until the coast is clear.
One never knows. I'm pretty optimistic, though.

Exquisite Creatures 2010

"The Fisher Queen", acrylic on canvas, 10 by 8 inches.
This is the piece I will be exhibiting in "Exquisite Creatures: The Mermaid and Octopus Show 2010".
The show will be at Norwood Flynn Gallery, opening Saturday, May 8, 6 - 8 PM and continuing until May 22.

7th Street Mural Project, Part Three

The 7th Street mural is installed at the corner of 7th and Clinton in Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas.
Below are my wife Becky's photographic stylings of the installation process, with thanks to the work of Brian Scott and Brian Jones. It wouldn't be there without them. Thanks also to mural project organizer Steve Cruz for the invitation to participate.

7th Street Mural Project, Part Two

Here's the mural with the four panels put together, on the ground, of course. I hope to have it installed on the wall in the next couple of days.
The Oak Cliff Art Crawl is an event that will include tours of the new murals on 7th Street. It's Saturday, April 10th. Anyone in the Dallas, Texas area should come out and see them.
